Merry Christmas!

I know I have already said this like ten times but I decided to say it again. It is tradition in Austria that "Christ-Child" comes on the 24th, kinda like santa, and decorates the tree and puts the presents under the tree. Then everyone goes in on Christmas eve and you see the tree for the first time, since you chopped it down, with decorations and candy and real lit candles and sparkling sparklers on it. Then you get the presents and open them. This is exactly what we did. No one except my uncle and two boy cousins were allowed in the room all day. This meant we had to go for a walk! It was beautiful! So cold! I turned purple...seriously! It was the first year that Stephan could participate in the decorating and stuff so him and Manuel were the only kids allowed in during the day. It was so amazing! That is a REAL Christmas! I had a blast and I can't wait to post pictures. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and remembers the reason for the season.....CHRIST!

Hallo!

This post might be kind of long so yah...get comfy.....or don't read it....but I suggest the first choice! Ill try and make it easier to read by breaking it up into "paragraphs" okay.

The plane.....so stinkin long and boring!!! This was my tenth thime flying 11+ hours so I am pretty used to it. But this time I couldn't sleep. The seats weren't comfy.....the movies I wanted to see are only on when we fly back home......I hate airplane food. It was definately one of my not-so-good flights. But I knew it was the only way to get to Austria so I had no choice. Okay...so I watched Transformers...it was an okay movie.....I also "watched" Stardust. I really like the small part of it that I did see. I fell asleep within like 15 minutes of watching it. I absolutely loved the flight attendants on this flight! They were hilarious! But yeah...enough about the plane.

Arrival.....when we got our luggage and stuff....we walked toward the exit. There was a glass wall dividing us from the people waiting for us. It was retarded! I recognized my uncle even though I have never seen him in person before and my cousin was there and all I wanted to do was run through the glass wall to see her! But yeahh....we went and had a drink with them at the airport before we left to go their house. The car ride was like 2 hours I think and my butt fell asleep and was very uncomfortable for 90% of that time. But it was fun talking to my cousin so I kinda forgot about my butt hurting. We finally arrived at their house. I love the house!! It is definately my favorite house in the world! 3 levels...but it isn't very "wide" [idk what other word to use]. It is so nice an homely! I love it.

The family....... I knew my Aunt and my older cousin Melanie but the rest of the family I didn't. I have seen pictures so I thought I knew who was who. We walked into the house and there was a youngish looking boy with brown hair and I figured out that it was Stephan. I was right. Then a young girl came in and I knew it was Natalie because she is the only young girl. Then a GIANT walked in....skinny, brown hair, taller than me. I was like... who in the heck is this??? Its my 15 [i think...maybe 16] year old cousin Manuel. In all the pics he had blonde hair. Apparently he dyed it. So yeah..and I kinda knew my uncle who picked me up.

Language.....one word to describe this....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It was okay with my two older cousins and my aunt and uncle coz they all speak english a bit. Manuel not as good as the others but still pretty good. The two younger ones......ehhh not too good at english! But we found ways to communicate. Hand gestures and translators [mom, uncle, melanie] are our main ways of communicating. Stephan is so adorable....he just came into where i am and asked me if i could help him wrap a present he has for someone. But the way he said it was so adorable! His voice was kinda like...high low high low. Haahaa. So yeah.

First day......Melanie, Manuel, Natalie and I took a bus into the town where we would later meet up with the adults. It was funny to hear everyone speaking another language. I keep wanting to speak spanish to them....of course....spanish is not the same as German. BUt my brain doesn't comprehend that. Okay back to the story.....so we got into town and walked around looking at stores and stuff. The we met up with the adults. We ate lunch then we got on the bus and went home. We had just started walking after we got off the bus and the adults pulled up. There were 4 of them in the car...normal sized car.....not a big one. My uncle rolls down the window and says "anyone want a ride??" I assumed that one of us would hop in and the rest keep walking...uhh...no. Natalie jumped into the car on my moms knee and then i sat in the back next to my aunt and Melanie sat on me and so teh car was full. But wait...wheres Manuel?? I assumed that he was walking. No...wrong once again. My uncle yells..."MANUELLLLLLL" and then some geman words...and from the trunk i hear "Ja" [yes]. I cracked up! There were 8 of us in a 5 person car and one of teh 8 in the trunk. It was funny! So yeah...that was the first day.

Day 2......I slept really late and then when I got up my uncle...dad...mom..manuel...Natalie...and I went to the snow! Oh...btw...it is freezing here!!! it is foggy and it is so cold that the fog freezes!!!! Crazy huh!! It is also too cold for snow!!! I didnt even know that was possible! So yeah back to the snow. I used Melanie's snowboard.....boots....and Manuel's ski pants and off we went. Up the mountain. Manuel was trying to teach me how to snowboard....yeahh didnt really work....i was too scared. I held onto mom and she ran while i was goin down the hill on the snowbard. I have that up within like 10 mins. My uncle suggested that I try skiing first..i agreed. So mom and I decided to go down the hill on the bobs. Like round plastic things. That was fun. Then we watched Manuel snowboard down the hill and Natalie ski down. Natalie and I went on the bobs after that. I was sitting next to everyone and I felt a cold wet icey thing it my face. My uncle threw a snowball! It was on! Natalie and I got him back! haha. So yeah then we went home and i forgot what we did. I think we ate. Maybe...idk. So later that night we went down the road to a neighbors house for something I cant describe. Ill try.....in the catholic church...they do something where every day [of december] until like the 23rd they decorate or do something. Then from there on a person in the village decorated a window and has like a mini-party that night. We went to that and I got to meet some people. It was fun! We hung out there for a while then Natalie wanted to go home so her, mom, stephan, manuel, and I went home. Stephan was messing around with Manuel...like boys do....and then Stephan started running away from Manuel...Manuel [who wears his pants around his knees] attempted to chase Stephan....so funny! He took like two steps then he couldnt go any further coz his pants fell down. He pulled them up and kept rnning. It was funny. Then mom kept pulling them down. haha. We played Rummikub when we got home....we played it the night b4 too. I played with Manuel and we won most of the games but then when we played last night i played with dad and we lost..bad! so i went back to playing with Manuel and we did better.

Day 3 [today]......we are just chillin at home. I just went upstairs and met someone else. Mom wanted Manuel to explain what they were doing [in english]...but he couldnt so she explained it to me. So yeah. This is a super long post! Sorry! I will go get the camera and hopefully post pics as soon as possible!

Funny things..... 1. the drinking and smoking age here is 16! But the driving age is 17/18! Crazy!
2. The main english wors my cousins know......shit and cool. Haha. Thats like all they say!

UP UP and AWAY!

I am not leaving until tomorrow night....BUT.....I won't have time to post tomorrow. So this is my farewell post. I will try to post as soon as i get there but no promises. Okay well I better get going and finish packing and that sorta stuff. I am really happy right now =] I had an amazing dream last night and a bunch of stuff I saw/did/heard today reminded me of it so it made me HAPPY! Oh i just thought of something.....two "quotes" I love......"Hola ya'll!" [Jacob at lunch yesterday] andddd....... "Now I know I have a heart because its breaking" [The tin man] *tear* Okie dokie! The past couple of weeks in my life have been so stressful. Yearbook killed me last week and right now I am stressing about getting all my work done before I leave on thursday. I have so much I want to do and not enough time. I am pretty excited about going to Austria but right now that is being pushed down by stupid school. I have a history test tomorrow and spanish the next day and I really don't wanna take either. So yeah. This is the first Christmas that I have not really wanted anything. I got the one thing I wanted and now I would honestly rather give all my presents away to kids who won't be getting presents at Christmas. I think as I am getting older Christmas is becoming more about giving and less about receiving. So yeah. I don't know when I will post next but hopefully it will be before Christmas. But if I don't get a chance I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas! I'll keep you guys updated [w/ pics too!] on how my trip is going! Adios!

I just talked to my family in Austria. They are gonna wait till we get there to get their chrismas tree.....they actually go into the woods and chop it down! Omg I am so excited. So yah I'm stoked!

So now that the christmas season is upon us, I am getting extremely excited for Austria! I mean I was excited before but now that I have been emaling my cousin pretty frequently I am even more excited! So today my family in new Zealand left to go to France and then to austria after christmas. Everything is pretty stresful so I definately can't wait for christmas. So yeah I just thought I would post since i haven't done so in a while. I absolutely love this quote: triangles don't have to be pointy if you try hard enough.

I just went to see Enchanted! I absolutely loved it! It is so cute! When we were buying the tickets....we saw...KT CORTEZZ!!!!! Haha. It was cool. I had a gr8 night...I drove a lot too! We went around the parking lot at LB Towne Center a few times....tryin to figure out how to get out to an intersection with traffic lights. I didnt want to turn right and that was the only way you could go so around we went!! Hahah. It was fun! ITS THE WEEKEND!!! Im so happy! NO SCHOOL=HEAVEN!!

awesome dayyyy!

Today was a very good day for me! I was intending on waking up at 8:00ish although I had no alarm set or anything so I don't know how I was planning to do that! So I opened my eyes at 8:30 and then went back to sleep. I didn't wake up until 9:30!! I was so mad at myself. So then I decide to get ready as fast as I could. I took a shower, cleaned my room, ate, and did everything else I needed to in order to get ready. I was ready by 10:00 which is pretty good 4 me! So that made me happy.

Then my dad printed a sample test that you have to take to become a U.S citizen. I was reading the questions to my mom and she was "answering" them. We had so much fun! We were laughing the whole time.

Then we went to Lighthouse [Christian Store] and I got my CD's which I have been wanting for a long time! I also got two books by beverly Lewis. My mom has read all of her books but today we found books that she has written for youth/teens! I can't wait to start reading them!

I drove home. That was the first time I have driven with my dad in the car! It was fine so that makes me happy.

When we got home mom got dinner ready then Grandad came over for dinner. I had just finished my meal when there was a knock on the door! I thought it would be a UPS guy or something delivering a package. But it wasn't.....it was the family that used to live below us! I was so excited! They moved to San Francisco in march and we haven't seen them since! It was really cool to see them again! It made me super happy!

To top off my wonderful day, KTLA has had a 60-hour Retro Marathon on!! They have played all kinds of old TV shows! It is so cool! I fell in love with a couple of them....Gidget and Charles in Charge. They are so awesome! That is the kind of TV that is actually enjoyable especially because doesn't revolve around sex, drugs, and violence! It goes all through tonight and tomorrow! YAY! 21 Jump street is on right now and I have never seen it so I'm gonna go watch it!

HAPPY TURKEYY DAY!!

Yay...its thanksgiving!!! I loveeeee thanksgiving!! It makes me happy!! Last night I talked to my best friend for like an hour. It was so good to hear his voice!! We havent had a conversation on the phone in like a year so it made me very happy!! so yah. Have a great day everyone!

super-duper weekend!

friday: went to dinner with three professors form Corban College in Oregon, my parents, grandad, and some church friends. we had a blast!! it was so much fun!

saturday: did homework...cleaned my room!!!...went shopping..then....dinner at BJ's with my amigas!! it was a lot of fun! thanks all you guys 4 coming!!!!!

sunday: went to church...then a play with grandad, parents, and family friends. i wanst too excited about going...but...IT WAS AMAZING!!!! i absolutely loved it!! the name of the play was Tom, Dick, and Harry. It was sooooo funny!!! it was a blast!

so my weekend has been awesome!!! i am really looking forward to having a week off! yay!! sleep in!!!!!

long weekend

I am so glad we had an extra day and a half of weekend! Whoopee! It's been super fun! On thursday... after we got out of school....I drove to Costco and we go.....a camera!! An SLR!! i was sooooo excited!! That was awesome...then I slept. On friday...I got my hair cut..then my mom and I went to see my grandma...then we went to the bank then...ANTI-ANTI-FORMAL!!! YAY!! August, Kamille and I went to Subway for lunch and then we hung out at Augusts house! We made funny noises....talked...and argued about a tree. It was fun! Then later on..we had a Harvest Banquet at church! It was fun! We had a "kids" table which I sat at..of course!! We had fun! This morning...I got up too early!! Actually it was 8:00 but it was too early 4 a saturday. I went running with my amiga. We ran and got breakfast then walked back coz we ate too much! Then I went to church for a Baptism class thing since I want to get baptized. Then...I came home and did homework! So yeahh....oh..one more thing....one of the people at chuch has a connection with some proffesors at Corban College....one of the ones I am thinking about going to...and he said that they will be in LA on friday night...sooo...we are going to dinner with them. I am pretty excited!! Okay so yeahh thats all!!

could not get ANY better!! i had a 2 hour video conversation with one of my best friends [chelsea]!!! it was so fun!!! then i was talking 2 tim [other best friend] and nw im talking to my third best friend!! it has been so amazing!! it totally made my weekend 100000000000 times better! i was in my room talking to chelsea...video....and i apparently was cracking up!! when i came out my parents sed that they havent heard me laugh like that in a long time! it was the most fun i have had in so long!! i miss her!! so yeahh...i was gonna post about my week but this is the best thing that happend this week so its all im gonna post about. you have no idea how excited i am!! im like buzzing!! ahhhh!!!! i am so happy!!!! mom also got to talk to chelsea's dad and it was so funny...chelsea warped the picture so it looked like her dad had a huge bulge on the side of his head. it was fun! so yeahh. thats all!!

The football game tonight was pretty cool! I really enjoyed it....well not the game since I wasn't paying much attention but it was fun to hang out with my friends! Cheering like 5 minutes late was fun! And the "loooove story" that was goin on [double meaning!] So yeahh...I also got to see Camille [Elston] which was cool because I miss her!! And yeah. So today was cool too...I mean winning the class cheers definately made the day so much better! So yeah. I guess I better go to bed so that I can get some sleep. =] Good night everyone!

So it's been like a week since I posted so I will "summarize" my week in sections.
-School: had monday off...went to Disneyland. Had a short day on wednesday.....went to Hughes....saw my old counselor. School is retarted like usual!

-Babysitting: I babysitted 2 kids on friday-saturday. I stayed the night. They are really cute kids but wow...the three year old was did not listen to anyone! She is so cute but I guess she is just going thorugh that brat stage. The little 1-year old boy was gorgeous! he totally attached to me! He is so cute! We went for a walk on saturday and I met a monkey! Their neighbor is a quadrapalegic and he has a monkey who does stuff for him! It was so cute!

-Party: Jessica's party was fun! We talked quite a bit....played a game [ten fingers]...danced/observed dancing....and watched Ian make mii's on the wii. It was fun!

So yeah. That was basically my week!

my surprise weekend!

my weekend was AMAZING! to begin with, i was going to a party on saturday, knotts halloween haunt on sunday, and disneyland tomorrow. So on thursday my friend from Arizona and like 20 other people came for a conference 4 teenage girls. my friend [bekah] told me about it a while ago but i just kinda blew it off. then on thursday when i went home, i looked it up on the internet but you could only buy group tickets so we called but they were closed so i just prayed really hard that i would be able to get a ticket that had a seat near the others. so on friday mom was gonna call them. i had kinda given up hope at that point so i went to school and i had a fieldtrip to a food bank which was super fun!! then i got outa school and headed for the bus. i saw mom standing talking to my bus driver and i was like.... what is she doin here?? she isnt picking me up 2day! but she sed that she got a ticket for me!!! i was so happy! then she told me that the others were picking me up in like 10 mins!! im like what?!??! i have no clothes to change into. but she had packed everything 4 me!! and enough 2 spend the night with the others. so that was kool! we went to the conference on friday night and saturday. on friday night i stayed at a hotel with half the group....it was so wierd.....being in a hotel with people i had barely met! the confernce was really good!! they basically talked about guys and stuff. they had music by natalie grant, ayeisha woods, KJ-52, and Hawk Nelson [so hott!!!!] so it was awesome! I love all those singers/bands!! we had a great time! it was so cool....we were in the van[there were 2 vans] on the way home and they played the song Jesus Freak by DC-Talk [i love it!!!]. All 12 of us were like singing it so loud!!! the windws were open and one of the people closed them so it didnt annoy people outside. it was crazy! we were singing and dancing...but we were shmushed[no idea how to spell that] in a van like sardines! so yeahh...last night we had dinner and then i walked around with Bekah and we talked for the longest time!!!! it was so kool to talk to her!! we went inside with everyone and just hing out till it was bed time and i had to leave. some of the girls were so adorable! there was like 5 middle schoolers who i didnt get to know until last night. they are awesome! then mom came and picked me up and i went home. i was so tired fell asleep right after we got home! today i just went t church and we went to see my grandma who is in an old-people home for a week to give mum a break. so yeah. im not sure if im still goin to disneyland tomorrow coz i have to do my homework. im sorry this was so long! i definately do not regret going to Revolve!!!

back in time....

i have no idea why but i got out my cd case the other day and listned to S-Club 7! They were my favorite group for the longest time when i was little!!! it was so crazy to listen to the songs again! especially since i knew EVERY word to EVERY song!!! It was just cool to do that. so yeahh. school has been okay. i am actually understanding chemistry for once whoopee!!!! math...yah not so much but that is about the only class. so yeahh. =]

youth group

okay so tonight i had youth group. it was kool....as usual. tonight there were 11 people which is our record! whoohoo!! we played the usual games and stuff. same annoying, make-me-want-to-shoot-myself people. but tonight i found it really interesting how we can think we know something in the Bible but really we dont. we are in Genisis 3...this is like the 6th month we have been in Genesis and we started from the beginning! but everyone had so many questions! i learned stuff i never knew and its in genesis!! i thought i knew that book soooo well! i had a fun night!

So i looked up the words and that is EXACTLY how i wantt to live out my life! its unbelievable how songs can do that. as u might have noticed....i put it on my blog on the side. so yah.

my neighbor....miles.....he is 6 i think......fell through the bleachers at his brothers football game and broke his nose and fractured his wrist. please pray 4 him!! i feel so bad 4 him!

ITS FINALLY THE WEEKEND!!!! YUPEE!!!! haha. Im super excited for the weekend! Just coz there is NO school! Oh and the sleep-ins!
Jena 6....so idk if you guys have heard about that or not...it really gets me mad. Ill tell u what it is some other day if you dont know. My dad and I got into a debate about it and I just stopped fighting back because I knew I wasn't gonna get anywhere in a hurry. I was so mad I culd have screamed!
So tonight I went and helped my youth leader. We did a movie on the lawn with a blow up screen. We watche dthe road to redemption. Its an awesome movie! There were a lot of kids there which is awesome! So yeah. It was fun sittin outside! it wasn't even cold! i had fun

**PRAYER REQUEST: one of the guys...Ryan....who came from Michagan during the summer.....was just rushed to the hospital to have surgery because there is a mass in his stomach and it may be attached to vital organs. We all thought he was anorexic when he was here and my youth leader called his parents and told them that they need to get him checked out. I guess they FINALLY did and this is the result. Please pray for him and family....I'm sure they need a lot of it! **

the bus....

was AMAZING this afternoon!!! OMW.....it was a blast! there were hardly any peeple on the bus which made it good to start with but then august and i had so much fun sitting the wrong way on the seat. its really hard to explain in words but i was facing the back of the bus with my legs crossed and up against the back of the seat i was supposed to be sitting. so my back was against the part of the seat in front that usually your legs would be up against. ok well yah so i kept slipping off and falling down into the gap so eventually i was like nearly at the floor and we went over a bump......i totally shot up and it was so awesome! but then i went back down farther than i was b4. but it was fun....till i got stuck!!! but yeah. then august kamille and I went to subway and then i went home. we had dinner at BJ's and i have to say it was the worst meal i hav had from there. i didnt have pizookie either =[ but yeah. i hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

So basically, this is the first chance I have had since school started to post on a school night! I didn't have too much hw so I have time to post! yay! Okay well my week has been like a normal week. School....homework.....eat......sleep.....repeat. But I have been sick which SUCKED! I am thankfully getting better which makes me happy! my week!!

Okay so it has been a while since I posted so this post will be a break down of my first full week at school! Monday-Friday.....basic school stuff. It is getting better although I am still stressing about it. My teachers are all pretty good. Mr Baas is actually pretty cool so that was a relief. Mrs Streelmen is really nice! I like her but definately not as much as Mrs Fieldhouse! But yeah. So my week was okay. Very tiring but I made it!
Tuesday was our first youth group of the year. It was fun. There was a guy there who hasn't been there for a long time and I rembembered some funny stuff that happened when he was there. I'm not sure if he knew hwo I was though. But yeah.
On Thursday, I helped my youth pastor with Kids Club at his church in Torrance. It was fun. I enjoyed working with the kids. Usually Jeremy [the guy who was on all the missions trips with me] comes and helps but he wasn't there and I was kinda worried because he told me he was coming. Well someone told me that he couldn't come because he had to clear out part of his room so that his brother can move back in there. This brother has been in a group home and him and jeremy don't get along too well. Jeremy had a hard time spending one night with him at home this summer so I am really worried about how he will handle his living back at home. Please pray for Jeremy and his family! They really need it right now!

math classes r always the worst!
5th period: life sports: I MISS MRS FIELDHOUSE SO MUCHHHHH!!!!!!!!! i am so happy august is in my class!! and cassie and
kendall are too so its okay. but im not too fond of mrs streelman. she is going to assign us lockers!!!!! =[
6th period: hist: pretty cool. mr bras seem nice. i have august, jessica, andrea and rebecca!!
7th period: spanish: it seems okay.....cool people.

so yah. i dont wanna go 2 school in the morning!!!!

last day of summer =[

today was our last day of freedom =[ my mom and i went 2 disneyland and we spent like 2 and a half hours there. it was kool. we did splash mountain (x2), space mountain, pirates, and indiana jones. it was kool. so yah. off 2 skool 2morro! the only thing im excited about is...the bus...and of course seeing all my friends again! so yah. see yall 2morro!!!

Big Bear was lots of fun! I had a great time! Hiking was fun evn if I didnt make it to the top! I love the bag i decorated! it was a gr8 cuple of days!

so i found out this morning that i had to do puppets tonight! i so didnt want to coz i thought i wuld be the only one. I desperately called Kamille and asked if she culd help but she culdnt! so when i got to where i needed to be i was the only one. i heard that this old guy...jack.....was coming so i was like okay w/e i can do it by myself. but.....it wasnt just jack.....he drove Jeremy down!!! yay!!! that made me super happy! so puppets werent bad since there was some one else w/ me!

over the last few weeks i have been tlking 2 my best friend in NZ a bunch! he has been goin thru stuff w/ people and he hasnt really been happy. but today i just told him to let God take control and he totally agreed with me and said that God's will is best and He knows what will happen. it was totally awesome since i wasnt really sure where he stood on being a Christian. He told me he was but i wasnt really sure but this just kinda let me know that he is headed on the right path! This is also giving me a chance to tlk 2 him about God. This made me happy!

funny story: my mom told me to google my cousins [who is a rugby palyer in France] name and that made curious. so i asked why? she continued to tell me that he had been all over the news because he was suspended for punching the opposing [irish] team's captain! okay that is sooooo not my cousin! but i did google him and there were pages of tthings about him! i thought that was kinda funny. but yeah.

sad day =[

so today 3 of my friends frm arizona left. i was okay about two of them leaving because i had only been with them for a week.....but when the guy[ben] left i was soooooo uspet! I have been with him almost constantly for the past 8 weeks and now he is gone and i dont know when i will see him again!=[ last night me, and the 4 others that i have been with for this past week were talking and ben goes "This is the first time i can actually say that i will probably not be able to come back next summer" I was so flippin close to crying when he said that....but i held it in. then when we dropped him off at the airport...i was fine....until he gave me a hug and said bye then i was so close to crying again but once again i held it in. then me and mom got in the car and she said something and the same thing happened. i would be totally fine if i knew he was coming back but i dont! he will be in the navy next summer and im pretty sure the only way i wil get to see him during this year is if i go to phoenix. but mom cant leve my grandparents for more than like 12 hours. im pretty upset about that but at least i got to spend so much time with him this summer. okay well i am gonna be home tonight but i leave again 2morrow morning and i will be going to carpinteria! yay! the beach! woohoo! but yeah. okay well i will highlight some stuff that happened this past week.
-i am the official "Water Chugging Champion"! i chugged a bottle of water in 13 secs. it was fun!
-i can say the alphabet in one word
-10 people accepted Christ this week!
-i made friends with people who live in michagan
-i got so sleep deprived that i had the worst headache for like 3-4 hours. i was so tired but then i got overtired and was hyper.
-i got so much closer to 4 of my friends
-we went to china town on wednesday
-i went to an awesome japanese store thing in torrance
-we went to the beach on thursday
-i learned hhow to step back and let others take charge even if they dont know what they are doing

YB campp

So I got back from camp this afternoon. It was extremely boring at most parts which sucked but the few hours we did get to just hang out were awesome! Thursday night was definately the best night though! We had a blast! I especially had fun chasing the deer with August and laying on the ground hiding from everyone. I had lots of fun getting to know the twp people in our dorm that weren't from Valley. They were cool. Well I don't feel like going into detail....and most of you know everything anyway......so yah. 2 of my friends are flying in from Arizona tomorrow which is kool. Okie dokie....thats all!

long time no post!

so i dont feel like typing 2 much but ill type a little bit. these past two weeks have been AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!! i had so much fun! It was so obvious this week that Satan was trying to stop us from sharing the Gospel! so many bad things happened these past 2 weeks but luckily it didnt stop us! 5 teenagers accepted Christ this week which was totally awesome! so yah. i might post pics if i get time. but 4 now....bye!!!!

dont expect any posts for the next like month. i will no tbe home for more than a day at a time and that will be taken up by washing and showering and sleeping. i am gonna bullet things that happen so that i dont forgett. i will explian [maybe] l8r.

sunday: church. theatre. dinner. solomons [youth leaders]. hymn sing [aka funeral music! so slow!]. talking. bed at 2:00 am.

monday: workin at church. regular stuff. hysterical laughter by me for half an hour. lets just say my abs still hurt and mucho agua was spat out. all because of one word: ruminate. ill explain some othr time.

tuesday: same as monday w/o laughter.played extremely violent game of spoons. i cut my nails after scratchin one guy up s much he hasnt forgivin me yet. got the nickname "the beast". that is a side none of you have never seen!! nor do you want to see!

wednesday: same as previous days but drove to el monte in afternoon to drop jermz of 4 therapy sesion [long story]. picked up sarah fr airport. water fight. 4 very wet teenagers. slept at solomons house.

thursday: got up. ate. got jermz. drove bak 2 torrance. worked sum more. picked up wendy.

friday: put door hangers in neighborhood. talked. sat. drawed/drew/w/e. i get 2 be home 4 like 12 hours!!! whoopee!

lessons learned: i hate sore abs! jermz can smile. spoons with the peeple i have been with is a painful game. u hav no idea!

scatterbrain post

knotts....guys are babies.....driving.....and.....fully trusting God. okay so I just typed that so that i won't forget what I wanted to type about.

1) Knotts. So today I went to Knotts with my mom, and two guys [Ben and Jeremy] that are staying with my youth leader. We get there and two out of the three water rides are closed! Oh joy! I was mad. But yeah so we went on the only open water ride- the rapids. that was so hilarious! The two guys...being the "tough" guys they are are totally being sarcastic and saying like "Oh my gosh...im so scared! This is going to fast! I'm gonna get wet oh no!" So that was what the whole ride was....no one really got to wet...until....the very last rapid thingy.....totally drenches Ben! So hilarious! Wow....you have no idea! It took all day for him to dry out! hahahahaha! So then we went to Ghostrider. SO funny! I was sitting with Ben and mom was with Jeremy. Ben was all mr tough guy and oh i can hold onto my phone! So we are going along and he realizes how bumpy the ride is! I screamed my lungs out just because I love screaming and I couldnt scream anyomre so im like okay this is boring! I look at Ben and burst out laughing! He was petrified! and all I heard was "Holy crap!" "OH MY GOSH!!" It was the funniest thing ever! then we went on the Silver Bullet and to make this a lot shorter.....the guys were literally green when they got off the ride! So we had lunch and didn't do any other rollercoasters all day. It was fun though. It was good "bonding" time. Then we had dinner with my youth leader and saw Jeremy crack out of his shell! It was awesome! So yeah that is the Knotts part of my post

3) driving. So I drove to Torrance today! Yippee! It was fun!

These past three days have been amazingly amazing! I was only at the Compton church for two days but I got so attached to those kids! OMG! There were kids crying when we left and it made me feel so bad! But those kids really made me think about how lucky I am. I had to think before I asked any questions to the kids because they are not kids that have everything. I asked a little girl if she was going to take her craft to her mom and then i'm like.....oops.....maybe she doesn't have a mom. It was extremely eye-opening! I love those kids so much! I also bonded really well with the team that was there. They are so much fun! I made like 5 new amigos who I love to death! I really got attached to one of them so it sucked when I left. But I had so much fun! We went to the aquarium and the beach today! It was fun! But yeah. We had so many good times! The only bad things that happened was on thursday night.....one of the chicas was sick and started throwing up so we stayed in the bathroom with her until we got kicked out and told to go to bed which was at like 11:30. And my neck absolutely killed me everyday apart from today. It was probably aggrivated by three of us sleeping on an airmatress that was meant for two people. Last night I had my own air matress so my neck felt much better this morning though! Apart from that...the past three days have been awesome!

hangin out

Today was awesome! Getting to hang out with August, Danielle, Bethany, and Katie! It was super fun! I had a pretty fun day today. Just chillin! Apparently I am not going to be home again until saturday because I got myself into staying with the team that is going to Compton for VBS. i will leave tomorrow afternoon sometime and stay with them and help them until friday night but then they are going to the aquarium and the beach on saturday and I want to go with them so I will probably stay friday night too. I'm pretty excited! Okie dokie......thats about all I have to say!

tiredness

This is a scatter brain post so I will split it up into "paragraphs".Last week was extremely sleepless for me! So last night all I wanted to do was sleep! But I didnt feel like sleeping so i stayed up until 10:30. Not too late but later than expected considering I was half asleep at 8:00. i got up this morning and went to church and during part of it i fell asleep!! Not good. I'm not tired when I am busy but as soon as I am not moving I fall asleep! It sucks.

So I have to decide if I want to do another mission trip this week. It's in Compton and I really wanna do it so that I can hang out with my friends but I am so tired and all I want to do is stay at home. But I know the people want me so I dont know what im gonna do.

I have my first driving lesson on Tuesday! Yipee! Im excited! I had a bad dream about it last night though! =[

So one day during this past week......i was sitting outside with one of the guys on the trip. This is our convo [not exact words]
Ben: So are you excited about going home?
Me: Uhhh....Not really.
Ben: Why?? Aren't you excited to see your mom??
Me: Yeah I guess but I hate going home to the apartment...It just doesnt feel like home
Ben: What....you dont like America?
Me: No i do like it but I just miss my friends in NZ.
Ben: Well there must be something wrong with being here if you dont wanna go home!
Me: I dont know. I just hate going home. Id rather stay here

Okay so I was thinking about this convo and im like.......he is right...there must be something wrong. I finally figured out what it is. I love having people "my age" around. When I come home its just my parents. I really enjoyed this week because of the people I was around. I can talk to them about anything and I miss that when I'm here!! So yeah. Thats all for now.

oceanside...long post!

I got back from the mission trip I was on [in Oceanside] last night but didn't get home until....like 5:30 tonight. I had an AMAZING time!!! It was so much fun! We laughed so much! Wow...the whole week everyone would stop what they were doing and hold up a plate [or something like it.....to serve as a barrier] whenever I drank anything or attempted to pour myself a cup of orange juice. I kept laughing when I drank and crazy people holding up plates DID NOT help my situation. But.....i survived the week without spitting anything at anyone.....but.....i did spill juice all over the table this morning. As i did that everyone goes "Finally! We have been waiting all week for you to do that!". I had an awesome week! I will semi-outline my week for you guys:
-Sunday: went to Kamilles house.....picked her up. Drove to LAX....picked up Ben and Martha. Drove to the place we stayed the night [Gardena]. Went to my youth leader's church....packed the trailer. So much fun!! NOT!! got to sleep at like....i hav no clue....it was late!

-Monday: Woke up at 6:30!! what a way to start summer! Then we got ready and went to Denny's. So much fun!! We were so crazy there! Then we drove to Oceanside. Halfway there realized that Kamille was asleep....Martha had her eyes closed.....youth leaders wife [mrs S] was asleep....Jeremy was asleep and Ben was fighting sleep. So only 2 out of 7 of us were awake. attempted to sleep....didnt work! So we got to the church...it was in a mall type thing. I loved the church! So we set up took a nap and then started VBS. The pastor there is awesome! He had 6 kids who are alll so cute! [well the younger ones anyway]. Got to bed at like....11:30ish

-Tuesday: woke up at 7:30. Drove to church. Set up crafts etc. Napped. Did VBS. Watched a movie after kids left. It was called "Last Flight Out" I liked it. Got to bed at 11:30ish

-Wednesday: basically same as Tuesday. But w/o movie. Got to bed between 11:30 and 12:00

-Thursday: Same as Tuesday. But we went to the beach and walked out on the pier. Talked heaps. We watched a different movie called "Road to Redemption" It was HILARIOUS!! We ordered pizza at like 9:00 and ate it while watching movie and writing thank-you cards. Got to bed at like 12:30/1:00

-Friday: Woke up at 7:30 got ready wnet to church and started packing stuff. We did all the usual stuff and then took a nap. We did VBS and then began the final packing. Said goodbye. Left Oceanside at like 9:30. Dropped kamille of at 11:00. Went back to Gardena....unpacked blew up air matress.....SLEPT!!

-Saturday: helped get house ready for next team coming in tomorrow. Dropped Martha off at the airport. Went to Costco. Went back to house and unpacked all the food. Then mom and dad picked me up.

this week has been the easiest week ever! I had so much fun and cant wait to spend the rest of my summer with Ben...Jeremy...and the Solomons! Yay! sorry this post is so long....makes up for my posting absence!

summer

So now that summer is finally here....I feel really bad for not being busy and doing homework! It's so wierd! I feel like I am forgetting to do some project or something! Wow...I am crazy! I am so excited for tomorrow and this week! It is going to be so much fun! We get to go to the beach on friday! Whoopee! Yay! I am so excited! The only thing that I am worried about is that we are going to be sleeping at someones house....so they said we don't need sleepingbags because they have enough beds for us. But what happens if it is like a dirty house and I really don't want to sleep in the bed?!?!?!? That is like making me paranoid but I guess that if they are willing to offer us the bed then it will probably be okay. Okie dokie well yeah...thats all! <3

things i realized 2nite..

1. I miss hughes sosooosososososoooooooo much!!! we went 2 dinner at ninos and when we were walking out i saw a guy hu was in my class at hughes!! then i remembered all the good times we had braiding his hair!! it made me miss hughes ssoosososooo much!!!
2. i hate living in LB! i always see peeple that i went 2 hughes witha dn its just wierd since i havnt seen them in 2 years!! and they dont recognize me or wateva. its just wierd
3. i have changed so much since i have been at valley!!!!! u hav no idea!
4. i love remembering things frm new zealand like the places we went for my dads work and stuff. i miss it!!!!
so yeahh. those r some things i realized while at dinner tonight! so yeahh. <3

this year..

this year has been so amazing! i am really sad to see it end! i loved this years senior class and i wish they didnt have to graduate!! but that will be us in 2 years! [which is the scary thingg!!!] i am honestly going to die when we graduate. i cant imagine not seeing all of my friends evryday and having classes with everyone!!! it is depressing just thinking about it!! this year was definately the best of all 3 of my years here. thanx all u guys 4 being there 4 mee! i love u all!!!!!!! <3

fairy-god-mother!

so when we[me and my parents] first arrived here, we were wandering around looking 4 a place 2 live [walking since we had no vehicle] and we were walking past longfellow elementary when we ran into a lady looking through the fence into the playground. she looked nice and so my mom....being my mom......went up to her and asked her if she lived in the area. she sed yes so my mom and her start talking. she told us a person to go and talk to about an apartment. thus we have the apartment that we have! this lady [claire] has been so amazing!! she helped us so much! but about a year after we got here she moved away =[. that was sad. so we havnt really had too much contact with her which is sad but......today there was a knock at the door.....it was claire!!!! i was so happy!!! but unfortunately she isnt staying....she is moving 2 idaho! =[. thats kinda good tho coz if i go c my uncle then i can stop on the way and c her!!! so yeah that totally made my day!!!! btw....we call her our "fairy-god-mother" becoz she is the only reason we found somewhere 2 live and didnt end up back in NZ. so yeahh. <3

my weekend was bombb!!!!!!!!! i had funn.....although i dont know what i did on saturdayy. buttt.....i did start my weekend well....w/ gettin my permitt!! then i had saturday...all i kno is that i wrote an essay and tlkd 2 my aunt and cuzzins. thats all i remember-that sounds bad...like i was drunk or something, but i wasnt!! i hav no clue y i dont remember. then on sundayy i went 2 church. church makes mee hyperr i dont kno y!!! but i had fun hangin w/ my frend. theenn......i did nothingg.....thenn.....i went and bbsitted w/ august!! it was sosooooo much fun! i loved it! some of those kids r so cutee!!! others......weell i wont go there! but yeahh. so my weekend was nice and relaxinggg...... kinda. i am so excited 4 summer!!! u hav no idea!!1 its like im summer-sick....like home-sick....but 4 the summer!!!! i can not wait!! the 1st week i get 2 hang out w/ kamieeleeeyyyyy weelllyyyy and one of my uthr amigos from arizonaa. i havnt cn him since....errrr....march so i am happy. and yeahh. im also verrrryryyyyy excited 4 yearbook camp! we r gonna hav an amazing timee!!!no sleep but that will make it evn better!! yay!! okay well that is basically all i had 2 sayy. hav a good sleep 2 nitee!!! =]

the day tht we had the NHS fieldtrip was also the day we had a geometry test. so i wasnt theree....on power school it says i have a NTI [not turned in] and a note that says it will be replace by my score once i take the test. mr becksvoort sucks at grading tests so it is still a 0!!! my grace in that class is a C+. I kno that it will go up but i really want to kno where im at with my gpa!!!! im so freakkin mad rite now!!! i currently HATE mr becksvoort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

today was the best day evr!!

so this morning i was kinda not lookin forward 2 our fieldtrip 2 the foodbank. i also was very nervous about my speech since i didnt practice 2 much. but now that the day is ovr....i had a gr8 day! i had lots of fun at the foodbank...its always nice 2 kno that u r working hard liek that so that old peeple can get food. it was fun. then in english i was so scared!!! the 1st 2 peeple were under the time which scared me and kelly and ariel kept telling me 2 go and i was like "NO!!!" so ariel goes..."mrs winters, amy wants to go" im like nooooooooooo!!!!!!! and mrs winters was like....okay....w/o even looking at my face!!! but after that i was so glad ariel volunteered me!! i felt so much happier and like a truckload of stress had been takenn off my bak. so yahh...and i didnt hav 2 much hw so that was good. <3

skool is nearly ovr!!

w0w....we hav less than a month till summer!!! i really cant wait till we dont hav 2 do homework and stress about skool but i am sacred coz that means we will be juniors which means only 2 years left of highschool....then it is out in to the world we go. its scary. i honestly dont want 2 graduate in 2 years!!!!! =[

this has been th ebest weekend evr!!! and its only saturdayy. yesterday i gt outta skool at 10 and me nd my mom went 2 disneyland 2 meet up w/ a bunch of my cuzins/2nd cuzins/2nd cuzins once removed. when we got there the were in CA adventure so we went theree. i hav met all of them b4 but that was 4 years ago and i never rely hung out w/ the younger 1s. so it was superr kool 2 hang w/ them this timee!! i hav a huge family....i never knew that. i finally found a cuzin [technically like a 2nd cuzin once removed] hu is around the same age as mee!!! whoopee!! he is 14 i think and he is a freshman!! im happy!! so yeahh....we were at ca adventure till like 3 and then we were gonna go 2 their hotel and swim but we went 2 lunch 1st and decided wew didnt need to swim. we ate at tony romas!! it was ssooooo good!! then we went 2 disneyland and did a hole bunch of rides. then we met up w/ even more familyy. it was so much funn!!! my arms r crazy sore tho coz i carried my nearly 1 year old cuzin around a lot....and he isnt light!!! so we were on pirates of the carribean and he was sittin on my lap and i was scared he wuld cry coz some of the stuff in there is scaryy. so like 1/2 way thru i look and my cuzin and go...is he okayy...and she goes....omg hes asleep!!! i cant beeleeve he fell asleep on pirates!!! o well i t was kool. we left at 8 las nite. so 2day 1/2 of the group came for lunch which was kool. we had funn. yeaterday there was like 16 of us so whenever we wuld go on a ride we wuld hav 2 wait 4 a while. i loved yesterdayy!! ill post pics in the next post. o and i hav a 2nd cuzin once removed w/ the same name as mee.......1st and middle name!!! she is amy elizabeth. she was born on the 18th of.......september. wierd huh!!<3

last nite i was pretty tired so i went into my room at 10 thinking i was going to sleep. but then i decided that i really didnt want to sleep so i looked at my desk and i was like....i shuld clean it!! so i cleaned my desk but still didnt want to go to sleep so....i clean my wardrobe...then my drawers....then my bookshelf!!! for some people this mite not b wierd.....but i NEVER clean my room and enjoy it. so at like 11:15 my dad comes in and told me to go 2 sleep.but i didnt want to so i just finished up some more cleaning. i went to sleep at 11:30 and i was laying there thinkin that i wanted to clean more. it was soooooo wierd!! oh and previously in the day..when i got home frm skoool..i decided i wuldnt do my hw but i did vocab and decided i wanted to get my math done so i did that and then i decided to do my grammar and then do my spanish and history!!! then i cleaned out my binder!!!! i was definately in a crazy mood yesterday!!!!! yeah so 2day my parents decided that since i had no hw that we should go 2 he getty and get my ceramics nd graphic arts thing done. so we went. ohhh b4 i continue....i was lying i bed this morning and it was like 8:55 so i decided i wuld wait till 9:00 to get up. so at exactly 9:00 i got up. then i got ready and i was ready at exactly 10:00. crazy huh!! nyways bak 2 tha storyy.......so we went to the getty and i found my 2 things and we looked around. i took a bazillion pics. ill put a cuple on here. i saw sooooo....many asians!!! hahaa. i also saw like 50 couples...older couples....making out. it was wierd. august......i saw a guy hu had a bigger butt that anyone i kno!!!!!!!! i thought of u and bethany wen i saw him. hahahah l0l. but yeah my day was good. andd i didnt hav 2 do any hw!!! yipee!!!! ok well yeah thats all 4 now!!! <3

so if u red my previous post i was happy and had a good day. well now i am homesickk. i knew this was gonna happen coz its coming up the time that i wuld usually go back 2 NZ. this is going to bee tha longest i have evr been away from my friends/family ovr there =[ so now im all depressed. =[ im sure this isnt the last time this will happen.

todayy was an unusually good day. i have no idea y. i had lots of fun in history...not doing what i shuld have been doing....but it was fun. so i loved ceramics 2day coz i am finishing my box...which i dthe 1st project i have really cared about!!! and its fun. so the bus was superr funny 2dayy. listning 2 middle schoolers try and say big words. it was kool. ohh and candice making poop sculptures out o bethany's browniee. that was funny. then i got home. my mom had washed the floor with some orange smelling stuff and it smells soooo nice and fresh...and there r cookies in the oven that smeel reall good 2. and i did my math hw and it was easy and 4 once i did it tidily and i got all but 1 ?. so im happy. and i get 2 go 2 youth group 2nite. so im really happy at the momnt. anddddd im lisnin 2 the fray and its awesome so im reeeeeeaaallllyyy happy. =] =] =] well ima go read chapter 13 of to kill a mockingbird!!!! i love that book!!!! l8r my peeps! <3

so 2dayy i came homee frm PHX!!! my trip was totally completed 2day at like 10ish wen i got 2 c 1 of the guys that i really wanted 2 c!!! we wnt 2 his house so i got 2 meet his familyy!! his mom is soooo cool!!!! his dad was kool 2. but kinda outta it coz he just had surgery and he was pretty drugged. ben also has a lil bro hu is 14. he is soooo much like ben. but quieterr. yahh my day was totally completed by seeing ben!!! ok yeahh. i hav lotsa stories bt i dont wanna post em. yestrday we went around houses colecting canned food 4 the phx rescue mission. all together evry1 collected 9 TONS of food!!!!!! there were 3500 peeple there. but yeahh. ok well ima go so l8r!!! <3

w0w....i have never needed a weekend as much as I needed this onee!!! i havve no clue y but i have been dead tired all week!!! well 2dayy was an amazing start to my much needed weekendd. i woke up at like 9:00. early but not really coz i didnt stay up l8 last nitee. i took a showerr....got readyy....went to my grandparents housee. helped mom w/ some gardeningg. then i lay on a beach towel on the grass and lay down andd listind 2 relient k on my ipod!! it was sooooo hot and i was nice to relax like that. i definately lovee the hot weatherr!! so then i cme home did the dishes took the trash outt and did my hw!!!! i have had such a relaxing dayy and yet i actually did some productive thingss!! i am happy at the momnt!!! ok well yeahh. <3

this 4 dayy wknd has been....amazingg!!!

on friday my 4 dayy wknd began. i got up at 7:30 and got ready 4 a dayy at the preschool. so i walked in and sum of the kids recognized me from the summer but thn they called me miss ally. im like....im miss amy. they were like oh yeahh. so yah there were a lot of new kids and a lot of the ones hu were there in the summer had left. but it was superr cool. just so happened that the day was a really hot day which was very good. they also had a bounce house coz it was sum kids b-dayy. and so i spent my day there which was awesomee. i had lots of fun and it was very tiring. i spent mos of my time trying 2 get one lil boy to stop coughingg. he threw up 1 time and that wasnt good but yah so while they were takingg a nap i sat nxt 2 him and rubbed/patted his bak. he was sooooo cutee but yeahh. so then after i got home i got ready and we went out 2 dinner 4 my grandmas 95th bdayy. we went to the sky room.....right acros the water from the reef. w0w! it was so expensive!!!!!! and the food honestly wasnt that gr8. luckily we werent payingg!! my granddad was so that was good...4 us. i got a bowl of tomato soup........10 buks!!!!!! ahhhhh it was reely good but the stuff in the cann is just the same. and then i got got crab cakes......2 crab cakes 2 b exact. they werent very good. but yeahh. so then on saturday i went 2 disneyland w/ kamille. andd i got 2 c 1 of my reeeeeelllyyy good frends frm arizona which was superr koolio. we bought annual passes so now i can go wenevr i wantt!! yay!! and yah we spent most of our time at california adventuree. disneylandd itself was sooooo crazy busyy!!! the line 4 spce mountain was 85 mins. so we were gonna fastpass it but the return tmes were between 11pm and midnightt!!! so we skipped that one and went to indiana jones.....just as bad.....so we went to pirates....35 mins but we had 2 go c my friend perform and we wuldnt hav had enuff time. so we went and fastpassed thunder mountain. then we went and watched hannah [my friend] perform. it was kool. and then we sed goodbye 2 her mom and we headed 4 thunder mountain. it was closed!!!! grrrrr so we just left. i was madd. but i was happy that i got 2 c my friend!! and i will get 2 c her in march 2 coz she is going 2 the same thingg as me in phoenix!!! yipee!!! so that was koolio. 2dayy i went 2 church...saw a cat that my g-dad has been feeding that just happens 2 look the same as my cat in NZ which is awesomee! we mite adopt herr and bring her 2 our apt. but im not suree. she is soooo cutee!!! her name is onyx. she has a tag w/ a phone number so we called it but the # had been dissconnected. so yeah. 2nite we r goin out 2 dinner w/ sum family frm outta town and yah itll b kool. so yeahh. wow longg postt!!!! <3

cHiLdReN oF tHe WoRlD

so yesterday in chapel the children of the world came and they sangg/danced 4 us. it was one of the best lessons i have evr learned!! there was no lectures or continuous talking but i was able to see true joy that comes from God. it was amazing! these little [and very adorablee] kids were so happy and joyful and yet they have like nuthingg!! u can look at an old person who is a Christian and its like oh okay w/e they look just like a regular person. but to look at these young Christians and see how joyful and happy they were [especially considering their living conditions] was amazing. i think that if they were in a large group of peeple and all the others were not Christians that they would stand out! not because of race or skin color but because of the joy that they have. they are my heroes. i want to have the joy [from God] that they have. that chapel was by far the best chapel!! i was really touched by those kids. <3
