so today was the last day of the semester. which meant it was the last day of land, culture, book :[ i looove how mr becksvoort ended the class. it really hit me how much i have learned this semester and how amazing God is. as we stood on the path, looking over the school, mr bex pointed out all of the places we have gone for a a lesson.
-the chaotic "river". the sin that we get stuck in and that only God and community can pull us out of.
-the eucalyptus tree and ice plant. we have to be broken to grow. we also have to be broken to reveal God.
-the track, our Christian lives. Its a run, like the olympics, but God is there to cheer us on.
-the worldly parking lot. having nice things is not bad, but underlying them is a culture that is fighting for our souls.
-the classroom. where i learned so much! i learned to dig into the Bible and the culture to find the real meaning of it.
this semester has been a good one. i learned so much!

about time for a post
WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT ORGANIZED. ITS A MESS. IT COMES STRAIGHT FROM MY SCATTER BRAIN. HAVE FUN READING IT!
SOOOO.... life has been pretty good! at the moment i have allergies or a cold which im not happy with but w/e. last week i turned in/presented two gov projects which gave me amazing relief! i dont know how i did on them but it feels so good to be done with projects for this semester! :D the weather has been PERFECT this weekend. i actually spent some time outside! loved it! i also spent a lot of time with my mom this weekend which was nice... much needed! oh yeah... i went on a field trip to a courthouse. that was interesting. our group was a bunch of fun! and our "guide" was a comedian with an awesome accent!! it was definitely enjoyable. we had some pretty awkward convos with Becher in creative writing. over the summer i heard a kid-ified version of one of my friends testimony and i finally got to hear the real one! intenseness!! for real! all of the Christmas decorations are gone and everything looks blah. :[ i filmed a movie with some friends (for CW). that wass an experience! l0l. pretty fun! i saw little miss sunshine for the first time.... not a fan. i thought is was bOOring!! :[ so one more week before finals. eeeeek!!! dont wanna take finals! music has been my thing for the past few weeks. im so into it! it relaxes me!! we had to do a book of reflections for english.... bombest project EVER! i loved writing every second of it! it brought back tons of memories! okay so i know there is more i could write about but i dont think anyone cares. l0l. :D ttfn.

goodbye 2008, hello 2009
2008 is almost over! that is very exciting!!! 08 has been a pretty bomb year!! i stepped foot in 7 total countries, rock climbed for the first time, made some awesome new friends and grew closer to some old ones, i stayed up all night for the first time in my life, i snowboarded for the first time, met new family members, took my first AP class, went on my first out of country missions trip, got a facebook :D, and a whole lot of other things!! it has been an awesome year!!
2009 is almost here! this brings on so many awesome things! it is my year finally!! 09! this year will be the year i graduate, start college, move away from home, and hopefully many more awesome things! i am really excited for the new year and a fresh start later in the year.

mexico
HOLA!!!
So yesterday at like 4:30am.... i woke up an got ready to go to mexico. we left at like 6:00 and drove somewhere and ate. then we went all the way to Yuma and picked up my friend who was going with us. we hung out with the rest of our group for a while and then headed for the border! we got across ad got some lunch then did stuff and eventually got the church/house we were staying at. then idk what we did. then we sat around for a long time. then we ate dinner... mmmm..... bomb tortillas!! :D after dinenr we piled up in cars and went to a stand and got churros!! they also sold fried bananas... yeah just the sight of them made me gag so that was a no. then we went back to the house and got our sleeping stuff organized. it was kinda cold.... not too bad.
we woke up at 8 this morning and ate another amazing meal!! then we practiced puppets and did them for the kids. then i spent like half an hour asking "los dos?" to the kids and proceeding to squirt ketchup and mayo on their hotdogs. then we did more puppets. after that we handed out back packs and blankets etc. then we got to go home!! :D it took us TWO hours to get across the border... NOT cool. i slept most of that time. then we went to Yuma and dropped Bekah off. then we came HOME!! it feels so good to be home! i slept like all day today so i am not tired!!!!!!!! ok im done. :P

long time no post!

so on thursday night, we all met at school, loaded the bus up with gear and us. then drove to joshua tree!!! it took about 3 hours. we got there, set up our tents and then talked and went to bed!! mmm.... nice warm sleeping bag!! it was pretty cold so being crammed in a tent was niiiice! :D
then on friday we woke up, ate breakfast etc... then we got split into 2 groups of 2 team each. the group that i was in went climbing first. we set up the systems that everyone was going to climb off of! being up high to do that scared me!! but it was fun! then we climbed... well everyone except me climbed. we ran out of time so i got out of climbing until later. then we went on a hike. a very treacherous hike! no hike like i have ever been on before! it was all uphill on rocks. we went .18 of a mile and we were all dead! but some of the group kept going all the way to the top. 3 of us chilled in a nice spot and waited for the others to come back. then we went down! it was a blast going down!! so much fun!!! :D then we went back to shortwall and i climbed. it hurt so bad!!! but i git like 3/4ths of the way up the wall. then we went back to camp and ate. then we had a competition where we had to re-write the lyrics to a Christmas song to fit J-tree. and we also had to act out a machine of some sort. my team did a washing machine and our song was the one i wrote out above. we won! which meant we had a 5 minute headstart on the MIGS. then we went on a walk to see crazy jack aka Sean Hogan. then we played a game with mrs Fieldhouse. then came the BEST part of the whole trip!! we did star tripping!! OM!! it was amazing! so funny to watch too! seeing people eat it!! hilarious!! doing it was fun too! such a crazy experience!!! so then we went to bed. LONG day!!
on saturday we got up and packed up everything. the wind made taking down the tents insanely interesting!! team work was required!! after that we did MIGS. my team WON!!! and it was a TON of fun! we really worked together and it was awesome! then we loaded up the bus and left. we stopped to get food... i already ate my lunch do i just got starbucks. we got home about 5:15.
the trip was amazing and i had a blast!!!!!!!
