corban
so i went up to oregon this weekend with my parents. we arrived on saturday, drove to salem. shopped :D. went to a hotel to stay. on sunday we shopped again :D. then my parents dropped me off at Corban. it was a "preview weekend" type thing. so we registered and my parents left. then i talked to someone until we took a tour. then we took the tour. after that we met our hosts. mine was still trying to get there so her roommate took me along with her girl. so we went up to the dorm and chilled for a few mins. then my host came. she was the sweetest person ever! i loved her! then we went to orientation. ate dinner. listened to an AMAZINGLY hilarious comedian! then ASB put on a game show thing. then we had a late night breakfast at like 11. :D it was yummy!!! we slept then on monday morning i went to one of my hosts classes. then... we went to chapel. i had some starbucks and chilled with another girl. then we ate lunch. my parents were there doing their part of the weekend so i saw them during lunch. umm... then i turned in a form and got my stuff and off we went... back to portland. we flew out and arrived home at 9ish on monday night. i still had homework to do which wasnt good. so i was super tired the next morning! :[
i love corban! before i was kind of like "whatever, ill go there" type of thing. but now i am super excited about it!!!!!! :D i can not wait for college to start! :D

wow
i feel like i have posted a lot this week! :D
well this post is dedicated to mexico! it was so much fun! honestly... the trips there and back were the best part! mrs cortes was our driver... and it was me, jessica, devon, ashleigh, eric brown, katie way, and roberto del campo. i love these people! devon is soooo funny! him and cortes had the funniest arguments and convos! it was a blast! song of the trip: pop champagne. not a good song but we heard it like 10 times.
actually being there was cool too. i cleaned walls and cupboards, as did most of the girls. the guys dug trenches for water pipes. we played with the kids after they came home from school. it was a really loving place! the kids (all 30 something of them) are in a really good place! God is definitely keeping watch over them! we chilled outside for a while too. then we left. we got through the border pretty fast. but we moved out of the lane that westrup was in and decided the next one over would be faster.... mmm no. the retard border patrol guy checked like every single car all through, that was in front of us. so we made a bad choice. but it was sooooo funny.... as cortes is talking to him, the radio keeps turing the volume up by itself and then cortes turns to devon and starts yelling at him for doing it! she was so mad at him and he didnt have anything to do with it! hahaaa. soooo funny! i guess you kinda had to be there. l0l. oh yeahh.... and cortes told us, and i quote, "cheating gets you everywhere". yes from a teacher! she is hilarious! i love her!
so yeah that was my trip. lots of fun! hopefully i will get to back next time! :D

a couple of thoughts
number one: i just heard that that lady who popped out octuplets already has SIX kids!!! OH MY BUICK!!! (hehe) isnt that insane!!!!!!!!!!! so yah.
number two: today in chapel... i liked the speaker but one thing he said really stuck out to me. for my whole life... i have heard "life is a roller coaster" and its become a whatever kinda thing. its true but i feel like it has no depth. BUT the speaker today talked about how if he is watching a roller coaster and some one throws up while on it... it makes him not want to go on it. but if he sees people come off it and they loved it, it makes him want to do it. that is definitely true in the literal sense but also when it is added to the life/roller coaster metaphor... it is even more true. as Christians... our reactions to the highs and lows of life are how the world sees God. it is so true! at this stage in life i feel like im cool with the ups and downs that God puts me through so now i think i need to work on my reaction to them. i want to set an example that makes people want to get on God's roller coaster and not one that turns them away because i make it seem lousy and bad. i loooved the extension of that metaphor! "life is a roller coaster" has much more meaning now! it is something to strive for instead of just recognize.

b.o.r.i.n.g
so i am b.o.r.e.d
and i am going to update you all on my extremely b.o.r.i.n.g life! :D
new semester started today! feelin pretty chill about it! i have ap gov, english, math, and anatomy. those are the only classes that require work! :D and then i have TA, ceramics, and study hall! soooo chill!! lovin it! :D especially because it is my LAST semester of high school! i definately have mixed feeling about that... its bittersweet. pretty sure that i am excited to find out what life/God has in store for me outside of valley. but being so far away from home and not knowing anyone... yeah not so good. i am sure that my first few weeks will be spent on the phone talking to friends and people that can help me through the transition!
okay.... so something not so b.o.r.i.n.g: i am going to MEXICO on friday! yeyahh! i am super excited for that! whoo hoo!!!

finals are done! for the rest of high school!
didnt do as good as i wanted to on some of them.... but it doesnt matter! my gpa is okay and i am already headed for the college i wanna go to!
3 day weekend with NO homework or studying!
i just watched titanic and realized how amazing it is!
im bored.
i think im going to costco soon!
i ate pupusas 2 days ago.
i finally saw the dark knight!
blah blah.
