so it has been a week since classes started! :D i really like all of my classes except one. but the good definitely outweighs the bad! so ill tell you a bit about what i have been up to! its nothing extraordinary but its fun.
on saturday, i went shopping with Bri (my roomie) and we got rainboots :D and other stuff. but the rainboots were the best! :D then we went to dinner at Olive Garden!!! woo hoo! we waited an hour to get in but it was worth it! :D
then on sunday i went to a church in Newberg (like 45 mins away from here) because one of my profs is the pastor there and it was extra credit to go :D i got to see Carissa which was pretty exciting! it was nice seeing someone that i didnt just meet! after that we went to someone house and ate pizza and played games and talked. then the long drive home took even longer because there were sales at an outlet mall along the way.... SO MUCH TRAFFIC! haha. well for oregon anyway! so that was my weekend.... my week has been classes and homework and random trips to town. im enjoying it up here but i really cant wait to be home in A MONTH!!! im sooo looking forward to that! :D i miss everyone so much!
okay well i should go work on more homework woo hoo! :D

okay so..
i have been intending to post for SO long now! haha
well i am loving Corban! my roommate is amazing! her name is Brianna and she is from washington. she is so much fun! and thankfully she wants to find a baptist church to go to because i do as well but my other friends are looking for different churches.
our dorm is very interesting.... doesnt match at all and we LOVE it! :D haha. my RA is super nice and all the girls in the hall are awesome!
we started classes today and they were pretty boring! hahaa all we did was read syllabi. haha. im really looking forward to my college writing class but my PE and american thought and culture... not so much! haha.
so yah. i am really enjoying being here! i feel like it is right where God wants me... at the moment anyway! :D
orientation was fun. we played games and learned stuff and hung out with our core groups. we had a scavenger hunt in downtown salem! it was awesome! :D im really glad orientation is over though... im ready for a semi-consistent schedule. :D

one more day!!!
only one more full day in california!!! insane!!! my emotions are all over the place! im sad about leaving because im gonna miss my friends and family and home. but im really excited because i get to decorate my dorm! and make new friends, and be independent! :D the independence thing is something i am really looking forward to! the three weeks i was at camp made me more confident in the fact that i can make my own decisions and life doesnt fall apart when i do what i want. i guess that can be good or bad! haha.
something that has been on my mind a lot lately, is God's timing. i've been put in situations recently where i have had to make hard decisions, and i keep thinking "if only this was last week/year!". but then i pull my head back and realize that while it may not be what i want, it happened right when God wanted it to. it is SO frustrating sometimes! but how awesome is it, that God knows exactly what is going to happen in every situation, even the ones we havent been put in yet. our God is so AWESOME! life is so much happier knowing that im not wandering aimlessly, i am being guided, even if i dont recognize that fact. my phrase for this summer has been "its all good", it kind of sounds like an apathetic phrase but when you think about it, it really is all good because it is exactly what God planned! every time i use it, i refocus on what i need to have at the center of my life, God's will.

well.... my life. i leave for oregon a week from tomorrow.... kinda scary! but seriously... im ready for the freedom! i am gonna miss my friends sooo much but i know that the real ones are still gonna be in contact with me so its all good.
i had an amazing day today! i went to red robin with some camp people.... they seriously make me laugh like nothing else! i was dying the whole time! then five of us went and bought matching shirts :D they are striped tank tops and have highlighter pink on them :D wooo hoo. then we tried on dresses at windsor.. haha. it was fun. they are great people!
my day was gooood! and it has been topped off with a ton of txting.... which makes me happy!! :D

junior 2
what a week!
it was so amazing! i had a ton of free time which made it soooo nice!!! :D three weeks of not much sleep really started to take its toll. i have made so many amazing friends over the past 3 weeks! it was really hard to leave. especially because of a certain person.... but im not gonna talk about that on here... ill tell you guys when i see you :D haha. im really bummed that im leaving the state in a week and a half :( but its all in Gods hands :D this week... we swam... went on a night hike, and did other fun stuff! :D it was a good week. i dont know what to write on here. my brain is all over the place. so i think ill stop rambling :D

teen camp 2009
wow... what a week! it was so eventful! let me outline it (not in order) ....
-had an amazing time getting muddy in the mud pit! :D it was a blast! all of my clothing was brown... gross! then i got hosed off by a fireman and got dragged around in the wet grass.
-played baseball and football
-gained a brother, twin, 2 sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, and some other wacko family members! :D
-almost got quarantined for having a COLD! ridiculous.
-found out that 2 of my closest friends are going back to the philippines and wont be allowed back here for 10 years.
-cried more in the span of three days than i ever have before
-got flour blown all over me
-ate a huge pickle..... I HATE PICKLES!
-learned a lot of spiritual lessons
-amazing worship
-got put in a cabin with some crazy and hilarious people!
-got in trouble for singing "lets get physical"
-and so much more that i cant remember!
it was a great week. :D
im going back next week. my decision about next week has been so hard! worst decision to have to make ever. it broke me down. but i am going back to work at the ranch instead of helping with VBS. i guess ill see if i made the right decision.

junior 1 camp
words cant even begin to describe how this past week has been for me.... but obviously, this is a blog and it needs words, so i will try to scratch the surface.
okay i was working at this camp which was for 3-6th graders. i dont know why or how but the speaker had such a bigger impact on me than the teen camp speaker last year. ive come out of this week feeling closer to God than i have ever been and it is the most amazing feeling in the world. this week i had to face some iffy things and they are still goin and im gonna have to deal with them this week at teen camp... but even through that i feel like God is right beside me guiding me through it. He put me in a group of 8 girls who helped me and stood by me through the week... they are seriously a gift from God! we stayed up till like 1 or 2 in the morning every night and talked through stuff.... we laughed all the time! i cried 3 times on thursday because i was laughing so hard! :D the week was not easy at all but the fellowship was what made it sooo amazing! the worship during chapel really felt like real worship to me. at school during chapel it always felt fake but this week it was real and it was amazing!
i could type up all kinds of stories from the week but i think last night was the most amazing. i got to hang out with the 2 cabins that won in the points competition. i was fine and then i ate a bite of someones ice cream and my stomach was not happy! i felt like i was gonna throw up.... but i didnt. one of my friends helped me feel better and then we noticed that all the kids were "missing". then we looked to the back of the dining hall and there was little head popping around the walls. it turned into a crazy game of "staff-catch-the-campers" and visa-versa. it was so funny to watch.... a bunch of highschool/college students chasing these crazy little kids around.... they had us knocked down on the floor jumping all over us. it was so much fun.... i felt like such a kid.... it was amazing! then we stayed up till 2am talking and laughing! so much fun but.... then we had to get up at 5:30. eeek. not so fun! i think 3/4ths of us in the cabin ended up sick because of the AC and lack of sleep but it was all worth it!
overall my week was extraordinarily amazing! im so excited to go back tomorrow!!!! :D
