LOCK IN!!!! [and 31+ hours without any sleep]

So this weekend I was faced with a decision, go to the Living Proof conference with my friends, or go to this thing I had no idea about with no one I know. Well, as is said in my title, I chose the thing I had no idea about. It was a lock in! I had more fun last night than I have pretty much EVER had! That was the best decision I made! Ill tell you a bit about it:

-Arrived in downtown LA at a church around 7:00 friday night.

-Very awkward to start with! But soon, I met a girl named Grace! She was so LOUD and so bubbly! She was AWESOME! Grace pretty much took me under her wing and i went around with her! I love her!

-People started arriving, I made some friends, and soon enough, we were all shootin hoops inside the church!

-So we had a chapel type thing and a lesson etc. Then we began having fun!

-First, we played "Sharky sharky in the darky darky"! That was awesome but some people ended up with some bruises! Then we played a game where u were in a chain and the front of your chain had to catch the back of the other chain! FUUN!! I ended up on the outside of what was kinda like a line spinning abround except of course, the person on the outside goes VERY fast! I cracked up and let go. Kinda went flying when I let go! Haha! Then we played sardines in the dark. Then we played "Honey if you love me you'll give me a smile" which was hilarious! I laughed so hard last night that my abs hurt SO bad!

-After the games, some people were trying to sleep so we went into the sanctuary and lay around and told scary stories and stuff. It was kool.

-THEN, we went to a "secret" room all the way at the back of the church, above the balcony seating and we hung out there. There were no lights so we got candles and sat around and talked. Now, this room was not what I would call "nice". There was no ceiling and there was crap all over the ground. They are in the process of fixing it up. The good thing, you looked out a window and you could see the sky scrapers and all of downtown LA! It was beautiful! We decided to stay up there until sunrise so we talked, laughed, cryed, told jokes, scared people (although that was mostly done to me!). It was an amazing time of fellowship! I really felt God in that room! So yeah, we waited for the sunrise only to find out we couldn't see it because a building was in the way! But, since a lot of the people up there left to go play b-ball of w/e downstairs, we found a water gun and had a mini-water fight while we were still up there! So much fun! So yeah, then we went down and hung out.

-Everyone found out that when I laughed really hard, I make NO noise! The pastor was like..... "What's wrong with her??? She needs to breath!! Look at her shoulders! Wow, its like she is having muscle spasms or something!" Haha. Good time, good times!

-Today, we did a devotion and stuff and then went on a "scavenger hunt" where we looked for clues etc. The thing was, we were running around one of the worst places for crime in LA! Kinda scary but super fun! So then, we ate lunch, and then, the best part: we had sleeping bag races down the stairs! There were two staircases leading to the second floor so we had one person either side. Even I did it! I absolutely loved it! One guy decided to go down on empty pizza boxes! Didn't work so good! It was funny!

-So that was my friday night/saturday. Btw, I have not closed my eyes (as in napped/sleeped) since 6:30am friday morning! Thats like over 30 hours of NO sleep! But once we were running around for the scavenger hunt, we forgot we were tired! l0l.

-Another reason I really enjoyed the Lock-In was because I finally met a guy who is like my "perfect" idea of a guy. He was chill when we were just hangin, he was not over competitive in b-ball like most guys, and whenever God or the Bible came up, he was so passionate about it! He never disrupted when we were talking about God etc. He had an awesome personality and definitely a strong Christian! SO yeah, that is the type of guy that I would be able to check off all my requirements for! Haha, so at least I know they do exist!

-Hardest part of the night: not having my phone. They made us turn them off and give them to them. I felt naked w/o it but we had so much more fun than if we would have with them!

-I met a girl, her name is: Xiomara! Isn't that cool?!??!?!!?

-It was pretty sad leaving, but I am going to camp in the summer and THEY ARE ALL GOING!!! I am so excited now!!! I am so overtired now! haha.

reasons for my title:
1. The AMAZING chapel/spiritual emphasis week speaker talked about dating and stuff. I loved it! Even the teachers were cool to listen to.
2. I got my JSB dress today, it is so cute! It is dark turquoise with sparkles. I love it! I will have to post a pic of it sometime.
3. I got new shoes today! They are charcoal converse and i LOVE them!
4. I got to talk to my uncle in Austria today! It was cool. I also laughed a lot at the fact that my cousin got a speeding ticket for driving to fast on his "moped"/motorbike. Haha...sucker!! Nah jk...but yeah I LOVE laughing so that was cool!

So yeah..... I am pretty happy that it is the weekend and that means no school! But school is good the the moment and that makes everything GOOD!

FUN in the SUN!

Today, I went to the beach with my amigas! It was fun!!!! We talked, and ate, and LAUGHED!! It was super duper fun! It was really nice to be outside and hang out with my friends! Now, i have a tan of my "bracelet" on my arm because i did not realize it was up that far! =] soo yah, that was my FUN day!!! Hopefully we can do it again! =]

easter

I don't feel like typing a lot... so im gonna type in bullet points!

-We moved into Grandads on saturday

-on sunday, we went to our friends house for dinner. We had an easter egg hunt. Delicious dinner. I talked to one of the people for quite a while about colleges and stuff. I hung out with the kids there. We sat at the side of a pond for like 30 mins and watched a turtle sit and do nothing. I wish I was a turtle! We threw stuff at it but it didn't even flinch. A life of completely not caring about the things people do/say to you. That would be nice. But yeah, it was fun!

-Last couple of days have been relaxing days. We have been moving stuff into the house and organizing.

-I have to teach a lesson at Kids Club on thursday... Ahhh! I am VERY nervous!

-I got my SAT results. I did okay but im gonna take it again in May. =[

Well thats all so far! I think. I shall post again when I do something fun/exciting.

SPRING BREAKKK!!

So it is FINALLY here! I am so happy! I don't think I will be doing much but it will be RELAXING! Yay! and....NO HOMEWORK!
Tonight I went to Kids Club to help like I usually do. It was fun! There were a lot of kids/teens! I always get stuck playing games with the little kids which I guess is okay but tonight the "big kids" were playing volleyball so I was kinda sad. But it was fun anyway. The lesson was about Abraham sacrificing Isaac. I never really thought about this until tonight, but to me, that story is all about God's timing! He totally could have told Abraham to stop before he was nearly ready to kill Isaac, but he didn't. If he had, it wouldn't have worked out the same. Also when they saw the ram. I'm pretty sure that if it was there before, Abraham may have been tempted to just sacrifice that. He probably would not have since it was Abraham but the temptation would still be there. God's timing is perfect and I need to remember that! I learned a lot tonight. It was fun!
So yeah, I am super excited to have no school! And it is.... EASTER!! Yay! =]

miracles

In Bible today, we talked about how a common doubt about the Christian faith is the idea that miracles are not possible and that they contradict science. Honestly, I have never really thought about that. But when we were talking about it today, Mr B/the book said that if we believe in a God who created EVERYTHING so intricately, why would we doubt miracles? This kind of made me think. I have never doubted miracles, I mean yeah I have been like..WOAH! But I never doubted them. Thinking about this made me realize how amazing and huge God is. I knew this before but it was kinda a given, now it makes me feel even more in awe of Him! So yeah, I really feel like this has strengthen my faith, even if it's just a bit. So yeah.

today

i went to youth group tonight, i had SO much energy! I just felt like running so, someone told me to rn around the circle, so i did. like 10 times. then my neck hurt from going in a circle so....i did jumping jacks. then i spun around till i got dizzy. then i jumped! i seriously had so much energy! everyone was just kinda staring at me. hahaa. so yah...that was the highlight of my day! oh, and another funny thing, when the ambulence/ paramedics/fire truck went past our history class during 6th period, everyone stared out the window like they have never seen them before. it was pretty funny but u kinda had to be there. peeeace outt!
