my foot hurts! i dropped a can opener on it! =/ owww!!! okay anyways..... this past week has been fun. on saturday, we had a birthday celebration for all the may bdays (and 1 june one) in our family. it was fun. on sunday i went to the aquarium with my sister, brother, brothers friend, and dad. it was fun. i enjoyed hanging out with my family. school has been the same as usual. only 1 week + 2 days left!!! insaneness!! on wednesday, mom, my sister and I went shopping before she left. we went to LB towne center. i havent spent time with my sister without my brother before. wierd i kno. but it was really fun. i was sad when she left..... it was fun having her around. yesterday was my grandads 92nd bday! so we went to Khoury's. it was so pretty! we had a table looking out a window at the water and the sun was setting! so beautiful! today was good. it was multicultural fair. i didnt wanna do it but i knew i should. it was fun! i got out of YB and bible! =] today i realized how much i LOVE hugs! that was random but w/e. so my brother and his friend came back frm vegas tonight. they leave tomorrow. =[ we were standing outside and i decided to try and stand on my heels and jump. its hard! and i looked like an idiot doing it! but it was fun! my brother decided that b/c i did that, i am a nincompoop. =] so yeah... im gonna post some pics!

this thing called LIFE.

So for Bible... we had to fast from something. I chose to fast from the internet for 5 days. It wasn't hard but now i have stuff to update about!
The "biggest" thing that has happened since my last post... was that my brother (Drew), sister (Keri), and my brother's friend (Mimi) arrived here last friday. We went to Hof's Hut for dinner on friday after they arrived. Then on saturday, my parents, grandad, and I went down to the place were they are staying. It is kinda by Naples, and RIGHT on the beach! it is amazing! It was a lot of fun getting to catch up with my siblings and stuff. We hung out some more on sunday and monday too.
Chapel last week was also amazing! A guy named Nick came and talked. The thing was..... he had no arms or legs! He was the most inspirational speaker i have ever heard! He also got an amazing response from our school! I saw someone go forward that day who has previously told me that they were not a Christian. Seeing them go up totally made my day.

i know... its been super long since i posted! a lot has happened! =] i need to post pics but i cant right now. anyways...
so last weekend was JSB. i had a lot of fun! it was kool to hang out with mis amigos and get dressed up and stuff. so that was fun!!!! this past week was the first week of block scheduling! i absolutely LOVE it! wednesdays are amazing! chem, bible, and history! not THE most amazing classes but still kinda good. AND we get out at 2:00!! yeyah!! that was a blast! thursday was alright. YB was actually kool for ONCE! but yeah it was fun. i hurt my back on thursday which sucked... so i couldnt go to kids club. =[ it was sad. then on friday.... THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS!!! that was kinda fun! me and kamille had a girl named Amy! she didn't talk so it was kinda hard to communicate but we did okay. we shot hoops, kicked a soccer ball, and ran with her! it was fun! today: i took the SAT. t thought it was harder than last time and i dont think i did as good. BUT.... I NEVER HAVE TO TAKE IT AGAIN!!! WHOOHOOO!!! more news: on may 12, my amigo from AZ is comin out here b4 he heads off to the marines!! yay!! i am so excited!! andd.....my big brother and sister are coming on may 15!!!!! yay!!! so yeah.. thats my update! ill post pics sometime. =]

LOCK IN!!!! [and 31+ hours without any sleep]

So this weekend I was faced with a decision, go to the Living Proof conference with my friends, or go to this thing I had no idea about with no one I know. Well, as is said in my title, I chose the thing I had no idea about. It was a lock in! I had more fun last night than I have pretty much EVER had! That was the best decision I made! Ill tell you a bit about it:

-Arrived in downtown LA at a church around 7:00 friday night.

-Very awkward to start with! But soon, I met a girl named Grace! She was so LOUD and so bubbly! She was AWESOME! Grace pretty much took me under her wing and i went around with her! I love her!

-People started arriving, I made some friends, and soon enough, we were all shootin hoops inside the church!

-So we had a chapel type thing and a lesson etc. Then we began having fun!

-First, we played "Sharky sharky in the darky darky"! That was awesome but some people ended up with some bruises! Then we played a game where u were in a chain and the front of your chain had to catch the back of the other chain! FUUN!! I ended up on the outside of what was kinda like a line spinning abround except of course, the person on the outside goes VERY fast! I cracked up and let go. Kinda went flying when I let go! Haha! Then we played sardines in the dark. Then we played "Honey if you love me you'll give me a smile" which was hilarious! I laughed so hard last night that my abs hurt SO bad!

-After the games, some people were trying to sleep so we went into the sanctuary and lay around and told scary stories and stuff. It was kool.

-THEN, we went to a "secret" room all the way at the back of the church, above the balcony seating and we hung out there. There were no lights so we got candles and sat around and talked. Now, this room was not what I would call "nice". There was no ceiling and there was crap all over the ground. They are in the process of fixing it up. The good thing, you looked out a window and you could see the sky scrapers and all of downtown LA! It was beautiful! We decided to stay up there until sunrise so we talked, laughed, cryed, told jokes, scared people (although that was mostly done to me!). It was an amazing time of fellowship! I really felt God in that room! So yeah, we waited for the sunrise only to find out we couldn't see it because a building was in the way! But, since a lot of the people up there left to go play b-ball of w/e downstairs, we found a water gun and had a mini-water fight while we were still up there! So much fun! So yeah, then we went down and hung out.

-Everyone found out that when I laughed really hard, I make NO noise! The pastor was like..... "What's wrong with her??? She needs to breath!! Look at her shoulders! Wow, its like she is having muscle spasms or something!" Haha. Good time, good times!

-Today, we did a devotion and stuff and then went on a "scavenger hunt" where we looked for clues etc. The thing was, we were running around one of the worst places for crime in LA! Kinda scary but super fun! So then, we ate lunch, and then, the best part: we had sleeping bag races down the stairs! There were two staircases leading to the second floor so we had one person either side. Even I did it! I absolutely loved it! One guy decided to go down on empty pizza boxes! Didn't work so good! It was funny!

-So that was my friday night/saturday. Btw, I have not closed my eyes (as in napped/sleeped) since 6:30am friday morning! Thats like over 30 hours of NO sleep! But once we were running around for the scavenger hunt, we forgot we were tired! l0l.

-Another reason I really enjoyed the Lock-In was because I finally met a guy who is like my "perfect" idea of a guy. He was chill when we were just hangin, he was not over competitive in b-ball like most guys, and whenever God or the Bible came up, he was so passionate about it! He never disrupted when we were talking about God etc. He had an awesome personality and definitely a strong Christian! SO yeah, that is the type of guy that I would be able to check off all my requirements for! Haha, so at least I know they do exist!

-Hardest part of the night: not having my phone. They made us turn them off and give them to them. I felt naked w/o it but we had so much more fun than if we would have with them!

-I met a girl, her name is: Xiomara! Isn't that cool?!??!?!!?

-It was pretty sad leaving, but I am going to camp in the summer and THEY ARE ALL GOING!!! I am so excited now!!! I am so overtired now! haha.

reasons for my title:
1. The AMAZING chapel/spiritual emphasis week speaker talked about dating and stuff. I loved it! Even the teachers were cool to listen to.
2. I got my JSB dress today, it is so cute! It is dark turquoise with sparkles. I love it! I will have to post a pic of it sometime.
3. I got new shoes today! They are charcoal converse and i LOVE them!
4. I got to talk to my uncle in Austria today! It was cool. I also laughed a lot at the fact that my cousin got a speeding ticket for driving to fast on his "moped"/motorbike. Haha...sucker!! Nah jk...but yeah I LOVE laughing so that was cool!

So yeah..... I am pretty happy that it is the weekend and that means no school! But school is good the the moment and that makes everything GOOD!
