so this past week was 150% AMAZING! it was one of the best weeks of my life! on monday morning my mom drove me to Victory Ranch which is somewhere around Hemet. boy was i in for an unexpected week!!! i knew i was gonna have to do some work but not the amount that we did! here is a basic layout of my days:
-woke up at 6:00am
-personal devotions until 7
-exercise (aka RUNNING and jumping jacks and stretching. eww!)
-work for an hour. this consisted of hoeing weeds, raking leaves, and dying in the hot sun!
-breakfast at 8:30 (i think)
-work for THREE more hours
-lunch
-30 mins of free time
-training.
-dinner
-devotions
-game
-bed at 10:30
we were so busy! and we had to read a 30 page manual about the rules AND a food handling manual so we could take tests on them. eww! haha. here are some highlights of the week:
-THE PEOPLE!! there were 23 of us. every single person was amazing! some more than others but they were so fun!
-riding a horse! i dont like horses and i was so scared when i found out we had to ride one! but it was so fun!
-we all went crazy on thursday night and died of laughter. so much fun!
-playing human tidily-winks :D
-marco polo and someone diving in the shallow end and chipping his tooth.
-having a "shadow" aka the directors son. he is 8 and he followed me everywhere! he is so cute!
-being around tall people! woo hoo! :D
-games!
-hoeing weeds on the side of the road and getting people to wave at us and trucks to honk at us! :D woo hoo!
-reading other peoples loooove notes! :P
-laughing so hard i cried
-wanting to laugh when i took something the wrong way but realizing that the people around me were not hippos and would not think it was funny! haha. :P
-campfire x2
-goooood food!
-failing a math test! woo hoo! it was adding money and stuff.. but i failed! but i re-took it the next day and passed :D
-having no phone! it was amazing! the isolation was awesome!
-EVERYTHING!
my week was absolutely amazing! now i wait for the call that will inform me if i made staff or not. i reaaaallllyy hope i do get to work! :D
random: when i got my phone back, the only people i texted were the ones i had spent all week with. hahaa. weird.
that was such an amazing week. i have never worked that hard in my life but it was awesomely fun!

one more day. :(
it has been way too long since i posted! i have one more day of high school and im gonna write about my feelings about that. i feel like these past few weeks i have been keeping all of my emotions inside me about graduation. if you had asked me a few months ago if i was ready for graduation, i would have said "YEAH!" but now.... i really do not want to leave. i am sick of valley people and i cant wait to get rid of them, and i am really excited to move to oregon, but i just dont want to say goodbye. my teachers are definitely the hardest part of high school to say goodbye to. i know i will keep in touch with my friends but my teachers? probably not. they have impacted me so much and i love them all so much! God has blessed me with an amazing school but the teachers are seriously his greatest gift to me. tomorrow is going to be SO hard! i am gonna want to cry every time i say goodbye to a teacher... but that would be 7 times... i am gonna end up holding it in. i am really gonna miss high school. my biggest regret about my senior year was wishing it away. i wasted so much time wishing it would be over and now i realize i should have been making the most of it. oh well, thats life i guess. those are my thoughts about graduating, lets see how i feel once i have actually graduated. here are a couple of pics from senior trip (catalina) on monday. which by the way was a lot of fun!

its been a while
well since the last time i blogged.... SOOO much has happened! not really. but i just wanted to say that. :P i am approaching the final days of senior year which is definitely bitter-sweet. i am ready to fly but i dont really wanna leave the ground yet. yesterday was our LAST assembly EVER! last class cheer, last sining the alma mater in the gym, last class color day. kinda sad. i have loved my high school years and i am so blessed to be at valley and have the friends that i do.
that was depressing... moving on!
today got in touch with someone i havent seen or heard from since the 8th grade. we were PE buddies (because our numbers were next to each other. so we sat together every day for like 15 minutes). i was really excited to catch up with him! i love facebook! :P so that made my day!
right now my life is really chill but its about to pick up! may 29 is gonna be an extremely busy day! this is whats happening:
-math test
-english test
-museum visit paper due
-WEST week app due (the EIGHT page one)
-Grandads birthday
-Aunty flies in
granted a couple of those are AWESOME!! they still make for a PACKED day. i guess ill survive. :D

analogy
in youth group, we are watching a video series called the Gospel Journey, and tonight something really stuck out to me. The topic was purpose in life, and one of the leaders (on the video) said that he had a skateboard analogy. he said that one time he left his skateboard outside and when he went to get it, there was a kid sitting on it (board upside down) and spinning the wheels. The little boy was having a blast spinning the wheels. Then Zane (the leader) said that he went over to the kid and asked him if he wanted learn how to use a skateboard how its supposed to be used. so Zane taught the kid how to ride it, and the kid had even more fun than just spinning the wheels. how does his relate to a persons purpose in life? well we can have a lot of fun spinning the wheels of our lives, partying and living life how we want to. BUT that is not the real purpose of our life, God has called us to even bigger and better things. So while it may be fun just spinning the wheels, our purpose is so much greater than that!
it really made me think so i thought i would share it.
