life

This is a kind of random post....well the 2nd half is 4 sure.

Over the past couple of days I have been thinking....a lot! I have this weird feeling inside me which is telling me I need to take a break and just think about stuff. But it is so hard considering every second I don't do something, I fall asleep. But anyway.... I have realized that the more I see people with "perfect" lives, the more I realize that those lives are the ones that are falling apart inside. I have seen that type of thing from a distance but recently I saw it pretty close to me. Humans are good at putting up fake fronts so that everything seems okay but really their lives are crumbling beneath them. The more I see that, the more it makes me want to have a un-perfect life. So many families are living with a fake front and yet no one else takes time out of their lives to stop and help them, or at least that is how it seems.

For a long time I never knew I had any cousins my age and then I found out that I do and some of us had an automatic bond. Going to Austria kind of changed my life. It made me realize that you don't need to speak the same language to have fun or laugh. Laughing and smiling is something that is worldwide... no matter where you go, smiling always means the same thing. It's the little things in life that make me so happy..... like having a specific star that always seems to be there when you wake up at 2am and can't sleep. Or even someone promising to behave so that you will sit next to them. It's the things that seem so unimportant to others that mean the most to me. A smile from someone who is in a bad mood, laughing at each other after throwing up, looking at someone and realizing that you just broke a small spongebob figurine, watching TV and not understanding a single word and yet still laughing, realizing that 3 people at the table are all sitting in the exact same position as you. Hearing that one noise you have been waiting for all day, seeing someone when they first get up in the morning....bed hair and all. There were a lot of little things in Austria that made my heart smile.

this isnt random at all! i completely get where youre comming from, and i agree.

ive never put it into words, but i agree with your first "section" and think its sad when someone does put on a happy face. i think it shows a lack of trust in other people. and yet, i find myself doing it too, and i dont think its cause i dont trust you all, either. i just dont like to be pitied, i dont like to be negative if i can help it, and i dont know- it just seems personal. life is twisted, isnt it?

denmark is the happiest place on earth. (supposedly) i just thought id share that with you guys

haha... i agree about the falling asleep.. it happens to me all the time. =P

yeah... it's a natural tendency for people to put on false fronts... no one wants to seem like they don't have it together. i know it's not good, but it happens so much and i know i do it too..

going anywhere new where you don't really speak the language does change your life... =]
